Dr. Michael Dounel is the heart of New Smile Dental. A proud Los Angeles native, Dr. Dounel’s journey to dentistry began right here in the city he loves.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology from UCLA, Dr. Dounel pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the prestigious Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He then completed his residency in Brooklyn, New York, followed by years of advanced postdoctoral training in cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery.
Today, Dr. Dounel is recognized as a leading expert in:
